Follow Friday Fun Week 10 - this weekly meme is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.  Check out their blogs for details/rules, and to join!  Also, be sure to check out this week's featured bloggers on each of the girls' sites!

This week's question: In books like the Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood) series the paranormal creature in question "comes out of the closet" and makes itself known to the world. Which mythical creature do you wish would come out of the closet, for real?

Ooh, fun question! For me, I think it would be faeries. I know they can be tricksters and some are pretty evil, but I've just always had a thing about faeries...and if they happened to be anything like Ash or Puck from The Iron King, or Sonny from Wondrous Strange, or Roiben from Tithe (shall I go on?), how could that be a bad thing?

TGIF at GReads Week 6: TGIF is hosted by Ginger at GReads - be sure to check out her blog and join in the fun!

This week's question: Book Associations: Which genre, authors, or particular books do you think people associate with your reading style?

I'm an extremely eclectic reader, so I don't think anyone who knows the type of books I read, or comes to my blog and checks out my reviews would be able to say 'oh, she mainly reads romance, with a particular emphasis on Nora Roberts'. When I myself think of certain genres, there are authors who automatically come to mind:

Nora Roberts for romance
Sarah Dessen for YA
JK Rowling for fantasy
Heather Graham for mystery
Maddy Hunter and Janet Evanovich for comedic mysteries
Suzanne Collins for dystopian

Things like that. I jump all over the place, and pretty much every series I've started this year (with exception to The Hunger Games), I've read the first book and haven't gotten around to reading the rest in the series. I like to space them out because I used to find a series I loved and read them all at once, then go crazy waiting for the next installment. But now, because of that, it's even harder for me to define my 'reading style'.

  12. You're the first person I've seen today to say fairies. And yup, I'd go for them too. But not the little tiny ones that you could squash like bugs.

  13. I haven't read any Janet Evanovich, but I've had several people recommend her to me this week because she's so funny. Maybe I should give one of them a try. I'm pretty addicted to YA though - it's hard to tear myself away from what I like.
