In My Mailbox Week 22 - The ebook edition

In My Mailbox is weekly meme hosted by Kristi over at The Story Siren.  The idea is to share books you've acquired during the week, whether you've won them, bought them, picked them up at the library, received them for review, whatever.  It's a great way to bring attention to books and authors and share the love!

I only have ebooks this week, so I decided not to make a video because I don't have any physical copies to show you guys!

I signed up for NetGalley around the middle of last year, but then didn't really use it. I don't have an ereader so I have to read all my ebooks on the computer, and I got really bogged down with ebook requests, so I just forgot about NetGalley. But then I got kinda jealous of all the people who gets ARCs when I don't get many, so I decided it was time to use NG! lol I requested a bunch of books, and I've had six acceptances so far. Yay!

From NetGalley
Lies Beneath by Anne Greenwood Brown
Don't You Wish by Roxanna St. Claire
Ripper by Amy Carol Reeves
The Princesses of Iowa by M. Molly Backes
Welcome, Caller, This is Chloe by Shelley Coriell

Free from Amazon:
The Vincent Boys by Abbi Glines
Overprotected by Jennifer Laurens
Street Creds and Curb Chek by Zach Fortier

For review:
Spirits Rising by Krista D. Ball

This past week's reviews:

Coming up this week:
Reviews for Entwined by Heather Dixon, A Scottish Ferry Tale and Scotland by Starlight by Nancy Volkers, as well as a guest post from Ms Volkers as part of the Scotland by Starlight blog tour.

Also, there are a few giveaways happening right now for ebook copies of Blue Sky Days as part of my blog tour. If you'd like a chance to win a copy, be sure to check out the tour schedule to see who's hosting giveaways.

Thanks for visiting! What did you get in your mailbox this week?

  2. Great books. I tend to read my NG books on the computer just because it looks better and is easier to read. My eyes definitely start feeling funny if I do it too long though.

  3. Netgalley is totally awesome. :) I can totally understand the frustration reading stuff via PC, too. It can give me a major headache. As for the whole e-reader thing, what's holding you back? Cost? The annoying-ness of getting one from the states? A deep-rooted love of physically holding a book? I'm thinking of getting a Kindle Fire or Touch when they release here because I think that might make my life easier then hitting the curser thing on the Kindle Keyboard I bought.

Anyway, I hope everything has been going good for you. Reminds me, I need to go and see how all of those tour posts are going. :D Mine is *almost* done. Just a few minor formatting tweaks left.

Take care and have a great week! :)

  11. I love Netgalley. It's so awesome, but it is definitely easy to go on a binge and end up with too many books. I have a Sony ereader and love it. I have a smaller sized one and find it so convenient. Plus it's hot pink!
