I was so excited when I saw that Kimberly from Caffeinated Book Reviews and Jennifer from Book Shelfery were hosting the Ho-Ho-Ho Holiday Read-a-Thon again this year! It was a lot of fun last year, and it's great way to get in the holiday spirit.
The books I hope to read during the read-a-thon:
Miracle at the Museum of Broken Hearts by Talli Roland
Sleigh Belles by Beth Albright
I own these two, so that's why I chose them, but I'll sure I'll discover a bunch of new wintery and Christmassy books in the next few days, and I might end up bumping them up on my list and reading them during the read-a-thon.
I'll be updating this post throughout the read-a-thon.
WARNING: Shameless self-promotion in 3...2...1... ;-)
If you're looking for something extra to read during the read-a-thon or later this holiday season, I happen to have a Christmas novella called The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, and it's just 99 cents!
Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, right? At least that’s what twenty-year-old Ginny Bailey’s grandmother always told her, and Ginny believed it until Grama died. She even put on a brave face the following two Christmases, carrying on Grama’s traditions and decorating her house and café with Grama’s favorite decorations.
But Ginny can’t pretend any longer. When she finds out she’s going to be alone for the holidays this year, her Christmas spirit goes out the window, along with her luck. Everything that can go wrong does, and Ginny just wants to spend the holidays hiding under the covers...until Dean Riley comes back into her life. With a shared past, old feelings begin to resurface almost immediately, and Ginny thinks Dean might just be the Christmas miracle she’s been waiting for to help her remember why Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year.
Are you participating in the read-a-thon? What books are you hoping to read? I'll be tweeting my progress (@SweetMarie83) and looking for other read-a-thon participants on Twitter, so don't hesitate to say hi. Also feel free to link me to your goal post and I'll be sure to visit you!
